Rebuildable atomizers paired with Mechanical Mods:

All rebuildable atomizer coils must first be tested prudently with a proper meter prior to it being used, as untested atomizer coils can be extremely dangerous.
Coils that have been improperly configured or are otherwise faulty can blow your Mechanical Mod, which can result in serious injury to you and/or your property.
Atomizer coils that have been newly constructed must be tested on a meter, then first used on an advanced personal vaporizer (APV) that has all of the appropriate safety features, including short-circuit protection. Once the atomizer coil has been tested and used on such a device, you can then cautiously use the coil on a Mechanical Mod.

Now a clarification on the AIO's (All-in-One)

The term is originated from the Joyetech eGo AIO (Author's first vape device by the way) but the definition has evolved a bit over the years, including pod-based vaping devices.

So nowadays, to specify an electronic cigarette as an "AIO", all the following conditions must be met:

1. It's a set (device and atomizer).

2. The atomizer applies an exclusive connection to the device and not the classic one, with 510 thread.
The dedicated connection can be via a detachable Pod (AIO Pod Mod System) or an atomizer whose base is integrated into the device (AIO Vape Pen System)

3. The atomizer accepts replacement coils. That can be stock coils, pre-built coils or coils you make on your own.
